SLGR VS Conventional Dehumidifier

Understanding the Difference Between Conventional Dehumidifiers LGR And SLGR/LGR

To be able to understand the difference between the two, it is important that we try to define tje LGR dehumidifier.

It is a dehumidifier with an improved refrigeration system designed to allow the unit to dry a space whose humidity level is lower. The dehumidifier performs better than conventional dehumidifiers. It comes with an air to air heat exchanger and precooling designs that enable it to effectively remove moisture below 34GPP. The unit consumes less electricity and will continue to clean and dry the air even when the humidity is as low as 80F/20%, where conventional dehumidifiers do not work.

It is grade equipment that helps damage restoration experts to handle even the most complicated and toughest job. It assists them to deliver outstanding results to clients. It is a powerful dehumidifier that should be part of your tools.

At unipdry, we provide both conventional options and LGR. Here are some of the dehumidifiers we sell and their benefits.

Benefits of Convectional Dehumidifiers

Conventional dehumidifiers are meant to be used to remedy water damage projects. They can be transported easily, loaded and unloaded on vehicles. The dehumidifiers draw moisture-laden air and pass them across super cooled coils. The temperature of the moisture-laden air drops below the dew point, a thing that makes them condense on the coils. The dehumidifier heats the dry air before releasing it once more in the room where it is allowed to collect more moisture so that the process is repeated. Unfortunately, these conventional models may not be as effective as unipdry dehumidifiers. They remove moisture alright, but they are not efficient in drying air and removing moisture in an environment saturated with water. Perhaps the only thing that we can write home about them is that they are cheap compared to the LGR dehumidifiers.

Why SLGR is referred to as Super LGR technology

To be able to understand this, I would start by saying that SLGR is an abbreviation for Super low-grain refrigerant. Unipdry dehumidifiers use the SLGR technology that utilizes the air-to-air heat exchanger mechanism which works by bringing the air closer to condensation. The air is then passed over supercoiled coils and condensed into water. The dehumidifier uses the microchannel Alu condenser designed to maximize capacity and efficiency. It makes it possible for more air condensate to take place on the coils. Also, it allows for a fast heat interchange to take place and leads to more moisture being sucked and less moisture being pumped in the air. This feature makes the SLGR unipdry dehumidifier best suited for areas with low humidity. It is ideal when used in areas with low humidity conditions. Also, it is the right tool for professionals working in areas where a lot of water is involved. It achieves the best results in the shortest time possible.

Note that at unipdry, we are committed to providing equipment that you need for restoration purposes. Our units are designed to meet the client’s demands. We supply both SLGR and conventional dehumidifiers. Our models include Renegade 140X that works at AHAM conditions which are designed to remove about 140 pints of water every day. We also stock a series of SLGR dehumidifiers including Renegade 160X that also work at AHAM and removes 160ppd. The unit comes with an internal pump.

Note that the conventional dehumidifiers are cheaper compared to the SLGR dehumidifiers and so, it may be necessary that you look at your budget and the needs before you decide the model that best serves your need to.
